Two Muslims fight on TV over hijab
Sheikh Mustafa is a Muslim legal expert while Nabih Al-Wahsh is an Egyptian lawyer. Sheikh got Al-Wahsh visibly angry after he said the headscarf was a cultural tradition and not a religious duty.
“You said you were the Mufti of Australia and a scholar in Sydney, but there’s not even a mosque in Sydney,” Al-Wahsh tackled Sheik. Al-Wahsh continued, saying that Al-Azhar, a prestigious Cairo university, had issued a statement saying that Rashed was never a scholar. To reply Al-Wahsh, Rashed said Al-Wahsh needs to go to a mental hospital. “You belong in a mental hospital,” he shouted.
