S*x has been described as one of the activities that boost closeness 
in marriage, but the lack of it, or its inadequacy, can equally be 
detrimental to the success of the union.<br />

This all-important activity is so vital that marriage counselors and 
psychologists often advise couples not to joke with it, for the sake of 
keeping the home together, even if they have to prepare a timetable for 
it, so that the needs of both parties can be well taken care of.<br />

Meanwhile, s*x is only good when the two persons enjoyed the act<br />
and reached climax (eja-culation for men and or-gasm for women), but 
findings have shown that in most cases, men reach orgasm in about 95 
percent of their s*xual activities while about 25 percent of women reach
 orgasm in their s*xual encounters.<br />

Mrs. Motun (surname withheld) is one of such women who could count 
how many times she has reached orgasm on her fingers; even with that, 
she won’t go far on the first five fingers.<br />

“And you know the irony there, my husband and I have s*x at least thrice a week, but he’s the only one who enjoys it,” she said.<br />

She continued, “Perhaps there is something wrong somewhere. It has 
almost become a norm and it is an issue you can’t talk to anyone about, 
so as not to be labelled as being wild. After some minutes, my husband 
ejaculates and that is the end. And the most annoying part is that he 
sleeps off shortly after. It can be so annoying.<br />

“Initially, I thought it was normal, but while interacting with 
people, I found that a woman can also reach or-gasm. Maybe because I 
didn’t have experience about s*x before I married, so I didn’t know much
 about it. The situation has made me to lose interest in s*x because he 
puts me in the mood and leaves shortly after.”<br />

Out of frustration of being left hanging after every s*xual activity,
 Motun confronted her husband on the need to satisfy her as well, but 
was shocked when her husband told her “I’m trying my best.”<br />

Mosun, a mother of one, is one out of many women who rarely reach 
or-gasm, as evidenced by the responses of women who spoke on the 
subject. It wasn’t an issue many of them were willing to talk about, 
because it is wrong for a married woman to discuss her and her husband’s
 bedroom activities in public, but the few who spoke expressed their 
frustration and the fact that they are helpless.<br />

Even though reaching climax has no impact on women’s ability to conceive, it has a lot of impact on how much they enjoy s*x.<br />

It is therefore helpful to decipher why many women don’t reach orgasm.<br />

<strong>Here is the reason:</strong><br />
Men are able to reach orgasm quickly because the nerves that trigger 
that intense pleasure are located in the glans (the rounded part forming
 the head of the penis), thus, its stimulation, usually through rubbing 
the vagi-nal walls during inter-course, helps them to eja-culate a bit 
faster.<br />

But for women, those nerves that should drive them to reach or-gasm 
are not really in the va-gina where they can be stimulated during s*x; 
they are located in the cli-toris, which is located at the anterior end 
of the vul-va, or say towards the north (upper) part of the va-ginal 
opening.<br />

Due to location, the cli-toris, which is female’s most sensitive 
zone, is usually not directly stimulated by the pe-nis during 
inter-course. Thus, a large number of women are not able to climax, even
 if the s*xual act lasts for a longer time.<br />

According to studies, s*xual activity is usually between 1 and 13 
minutes, and understandably, some men could take longer before they 
eja-culate, but regardless of the length of time, some women may still 
not reach or-gasm.<br />

Therefore, some women who are unable to reach or-gasm get to that 
destination when their cli-toris is stimulated by mere hand, simply 
because that is where the nerves are.<br />

According to a consultant endocrinologist, Dr. Olamoyegun Michael, 
the primary reason women don’t reach or-gasm through penetrative s*x 
easily is the inadequate stimulation of the cli-toris by the male organ 
during s*x.<br />

He said some women actually do reach or-gasm but that a significant percentage of women don’t.<br />

He added, “However, some women can reach or-gasm through 
pene-tration, depending on the experience of both of them, how roomy the
 woman is, how big the man is, the technique and some other factors. So,
 it is not hidden that cli-toris can affect their ability to reach 
orgasm or its frequency.<br />

“That is why in the olden days, when women were circumcised, which is
 the removal of the cli-toris, the belief was that those who were not 
circumcised could be promiscuous, and that goes to show that the 
cli-toris is very sensitive and is important in female s*xual 
satisfaction.”<br />

President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, 
has claimed that he missed the burial of former Super Eagles captain and
 coach, Stephen Keshi, because he was unwell.<br />

Keshi was buried in his home town in Illah, Delta State on Friday, with some key dignitaries from the football house missing.<br />

Pinnick is one of the officials that has come under criticisms, but 
he insists that he was very involved with the arrangements and only 
missed the burial because of sickness.<br />

“It’s really sad the way we just use extreme languages. Right from 
the moment he passed, I have been actively involved greatly,” Pinnick 
wrote in response to a jibe on Twitter.<br />

“I followed the motorcade from the morgue to the church in Benin. I 
was at the service throughout. I followed the motorcade to the stadium. I
 was there again throughout again.<br />

“I did a two and half hour journey to Asaba. I did the entire 
programme with them. I had a private meeting with the family to 
reappraise plans.<br />

“I woke the next morning unwell, threw up. On my way to Illah, I was 
struggling but had to reverse immediately, I got a member to leave Port 
Harcourt to attend which he did.<br />

“You people should kindly find out the role I and the NFF played from his death to date.”

<strong>The Senate of the Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, Ile-Ife, 
yesterday announced the re-opening of the university barely 36 days 
after it was shut following the crises that rocked the institution.</strong><br />
<br />

The authority also approved August 3, 2016 for the resumption of 
continuation of screening exercise for the new students while old 
students will come into residence on Sunday, August 7, 2016.<br />

A release by the Public Relations Officer of the University, Abiodun 
Olarewaju, stated that the Senate gave the go-ahead to reopen the 
institution during a special meeting it held to consider a proposed 
amendment to this session’s academic calendar.<br />

Meanwhile, the national leadership of the university’s Alumni 
Association has lauded the Federal Government for the quick resolution 
of the crisis that greeted the appointment of a new Vice Chancellor for

National President of the association, Mr. Segun Oke said government’s 
intervention came at the appropriate time and restored sanity to the

<strong>Some educationists on Friday commended the Lagos State Government for efforts put in place in raising the standard of education.</strong><br />
<br />

The educationists said in separate interviews with the News Agency of
 Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that the present administration is investing 
heavily on education.<br />

A retired teacher, Mrs Mopelola Ogunwale, said that the state 
government had put in place so much to ensure effective teaching and 
learning.<br />

According to her, the challenge has been the inability of parents to 
complement government’s efforts by providing the necessary writing 
materials.<br />

“Government has provided textbooks for the pupils but because of some
 parents’ non-chalant attitude, some children are still lacking basic 
things like writing materials,’’ she said.<br />

She, therefore, urged parents to wake up to their responsibilities by catering for their children and wards.<br />

Ogunwale also appealed to the state government to fill vacancies created by retired teachers.<br />

Also speaking to NAN, a retired teacher, Mr Adewale Akindunjoye, 
commended the state government for providing a conducive environment for
 learning.<br />

Akindunjoye urged students to take advantage of the nice environment to strive toward academic excellence.<br />

Another retired teacher, Mrs Veronica Azu, told NAN that in her 35 
years of teaching, things had not been smooth, until recently.<br />

“Things had gone bad at a point in time in the education sector but government is putting them right now.<br />

“I have seen the ugly and the bright side of education but things 
have picked up and getting better with this administration,’’ she told 
NAN.<br />

Azu advised the government not to relent in its efforts by recruiting
 more teachers to fill vacancies created by retired teachers.<br />

Meanwhile, Mr Olufemi Adedeji, the Chairman, Nigeria Union of 
Teachers (NUT), Mainland branch, said that the only way to tackle the 
problem of shortage of teachers “is through constant recruitment’’.<br />

Adedeji, while commending the state government, lamented that primary schools in the state were under-staffed.<br />

He advised retired teachers to engage themselves in other productive 
ventures since monthly stipend they were used to, would no longer come.

A Chicago couple , Jack Mackercher and Jordan Buranskas, were stunned after they say home reconnaissance footage caught a more unusual remaining on their staircase as they mulled over a sofa underneath on Monday. The couple didn't know there was a gatecrasher in their home until the following day when Buranskas saw that her satchel was absent. She advised her beau that she was certain she brought the satchel home yet he said she cleared out it at the eatery they ate at the earlier day. So as to demonstrate who wasn't right or right, they chose to see the observation footage from the earlier day. <br /><br />They told WLS-TV: <br /><br />"We really got into a smidgen of a contention about it. He thought I exited it at the eatery the prior night," she said. <br /><br />What they found rather turned their blood frosty. Around 3:30 a.m., while they were both passed out in Mackercher's front room snoozing, a hooded man showed up out of their upstairs room. <br /><br />The man then remained on the edge and continued to gaze down at them for a few minutes and even watched the demonstrate that was playing on TV for a few minutes. He was at the highest point of the stairs for around 12 to 15 minutes. <br /><br />Mackercher said: <br /><br />"We were both like, 'What the heck, is this genuine?' "It was truly entirely frightening, particularly when you witness that in your home." <br /><br />"He remained there for around five minutes the first run through then left, then returned and floated over us again for another seven ten minutes," Buranskas told WLS-TV. <br /><br />The interloper was so peaceful and moderate moving that his nearness didn't tip off Mackercher's two canines, they said. <br /><br />The couple said they trust the man got in through an opened entryway in the wake of climbing six flights of stairs on their building's emergency exit.
